Two Asian black bears were caught on camera having a full-on wrestling match at Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve in Russia’s Primorsky krai.
Footage published on Monday shows the young animals bumping into each other in a forest clearing and beginning to grapple.
The bears are shown clawing at each other and biting playfully before standing on their hind legs and attempting to throw each other to the ground – before leaving the clearing following their ‘work-out’.
The nature reserve’s staff explained that such ‘mock fights’ help the young bears practice the moves required for hunting and other life skills, as well as conditioning them for stress and helping them form social bonds.
