« Berlin governing mayor Kei Weegner visited the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA) tech show for its traditional yearly opening in the German capital on Friday.
During the visit Wegner was accompanied by former Berlin mayor and now a Senator for Economic Affairs Franziska Giffey.
« The IFA belongs to Berlin just like the radio tower belongs to the exhibition centre, the IFA also belongs to Berlin because the IFA stands for innovation, for creativity, for new ideas and you can see that right away in the entrance area, » Wegner commented.
The IFA tech show was first held in Berlin in 1924. This year, the organisers are expecting up to 180,000 visitors. »
