« Berlin Governing mayor Kai Wegner visited the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA) and toured the event on the opening day in the German capital on Friday.
« The IFA belongs to Berlin just like the radio tower belongs to the exhibition centre, the IFA also belongs to Berlin because the IFA stands for innovation, for creativity, for new ideas and you can see that right away in the entrance area, » Wegner stated.
He was accompanied by former Berlin mayor and now Senator for Economic Affairs Franziska Giffey.
Wegner added that it was with ‘great joy’ that he visited the show in person following a number of difficult years, not least during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The IFA tech show was first held in Berlin in 1924. This year, the organisers are expecting up to 180,000 visitors. »
