« The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2023, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China, began in Beijing on Saturday.
On the first day of the event, pavilions representing 12 countries and 13 international organizations were unveiled to visitors, showcasing the latest technologies and services spanning various aspects of life. These offerings ranged from cutting-edge medical advancements and jewellery designs to automobiles and home appliances.
Petrou Petros, the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus, mentioned that he is participating in CIFTIS for the second time.
« Last year it was very promising and although Covid was there, we had lots of interest about business between China and Cyprus. So, this year, during post-COVID time, we’re hoping that we’ll have more interest from people here, and we are hopefully looking to establish bigger cooperation than last year, » he explained.
The event will take place at the China National Convention Center from September 2 to September 6. During this period, it is estimated that over a thousand participants will attend the fair.
« This event is more diversified than other similar events, so you can learn about anything. When I can get some new knowledge, I feel very good, so I would definitely like to participate in these exhibitions more, » said Zhao Yao, a visitor.
All participants of the event also prepared gifts and lotteries to captivate the attention of visitors and promote their products.
CIFTIS has been held since 2012 and is renowned as the largest comprehensive exhibition in the global trade in services sector, serving as a leading exhibition in the field of trade in services in China. »
