« Indonesia’s president Joko Widodo hosted a gala dinner in Jakarta on Wednesday following a series of summit meetings with various world leaders during the day.
During the meetings, officials agreed to explore cooperation and collaboration in developing an electric vehicle ecosystem as well as creating a business-friendly environment to attract investment and encourae public-private partnerships.
The gala dinner was attended among others by Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.
Founded in 1967, ASEAN comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Leaders from the ten ASEAN member countries, along with other non-ASEAN partners, convened for the 43rd Summit, scheduled from September 5 to 7. »
