Roads destroyed by landslide, houses and cars washed away following torrential rain, flooding around Volos

« Roads, houses and vehicles were destroyed following torrential rain and flooding in the city of Volos and the village of Portaria in Pelion on Wednesday.
Dramatic footage shows one road decimated by a landslide, with whole sections missing and water pouring in torrents over the side.
A damaged car can be seen partially submerged and covered in branches, while nearby buildings were reduced to rubble. Whole streets can also be seen under water.
Local authorities reported that two people were confirmed dead and four remained missing, after Storm Daniel hit the region. It came just after the summer’s deadly wildfires were finally extinguished. »
