‘It’s crazy’ – Londoners cool off in ponds as UK records hottest day of year

« Londoners were seen cooling off in ponds and enjoying their time outside as the capital expected the hottest day of the year, with temperatures reaching 32.7 degrees Celsius (90.86 degrees Fahrenheit).
« Today in London is very hot and everybody’s enjoying. The pond is full of people swimming and having fun with friends and family so yeah, it’s really cool, » said a local adding ‘it’s crazy!’. The UK’s national weather service reported that Saturday marked the sixth consecutive day the country registered temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit), surpassing the typical averages for this time of the year.
Last week, the Met Office stated that Britain had encountered its eighth warmest summer since 1884, with June setting a new record as the hottest month in the country’s history. »
