Earlier in the day, Azerbaijan announced the implementation of ‘counter-terrorism measures’ and began military action in the region.
Baku’s defence ministry said the action was to ‘disarm and secure the withdrawal of formations of Armenia’s armed forces from our territories’.
Meanwhile, Armenia condemned what it described as Azerbaijan’s ‘full-scale aggression’, accusing the country of attacking settlements. »
