« Britain’s King Charles III arrived in Paris on Wednesday, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron as part of a three-day state visit.
Footage shows Charles and Queen Camilla being received by Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte at the Elysee Palace, where they walked along a red carpet and posed for photographs before entering the building.
Charles and Camilla arrived at Paris Orly airport just before 2 pm, where they received an official welcome from French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne.
The royals then travelled to the Arc de Triomphe and were greeted by Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron for a ceremony of remembrance for fallen soldiers.
Charles and Camilla later travelled to the Elysee Palace, where the King held a bilateral meeting with the French President. They will then head to the Palace of Versailles to attend a state banquet in honour of the royal visit, alongside celebrity guests.
King Charles was originally scheduled to visit Paris in March but the trip was postponed due to widespread social unrest over Macron’s deeply unpopular pension reforms. »
