« Palestinian protester fatally shot, nine injured in clashes with Israeli forces near Gaza Strip border
At least one Palestinian protester was fatally shot and nine others were injured on Tuesday when Israeli soldiers opened fire on demonstrators at the Gaza border with Israel, according to Palestinian health authorities.
The protest was organised in response to far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s plans to worsen the conditions of Palestinian inmates in Israeli prisons and the ongoing desecration of the Al-Aqsa mosque.
Reports indicate that Israeli soldiers stationed at the border opened fire, resulting in the death of a 25-year-old man named Yousef Salem Radwan from Bani Suhayia, located east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. Radwan was shot in the head.
Additionally, eleven other Palestinians sustained injuries, with one listed in serious condition, as reported by Palestinian health authorities.
According to Israel Defense Forces, the protesters had set off several makeshift bombs in the area. »
