‘We’ve gathered here to mourn our brother’ – Hundreds light candles in Abuja commemorating Nigerian musician MohBad

« Hundreds of music fans were paying tribute to the Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Aloba aka MohBad in Abuja, on Friday, who died after being reportedly treated for an infection.
Footage shows demonstrators lighting candles and chanting while holding banners reading among others ‘Justice for MohBab, Justice for one, Justice for all’.
« We’ve gathered here to mourn our brother. And a great talent was lost. Truly, I’m a MohBab fan. I’ve been a MohBab fan since day one. And I’ve loved his music and he’s inspired me a lot. I was so heartbroken hearing his passing away, » said Valentine Ezenebe a local fan.
The 27-year-old rapper Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba passed away on September 12 at a hospital in Lagos after being reportedly treated for an infection. The investigation into the circumstances of the musician’s death is underway while police exhumed his body on September 21. »
