« The opening session of the 67th Annual Ordinary Session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be held on Monday, September 25, at the Vienna International Center (VIC).
Representatives of the 177 IAEA Member States are set to discuss a range of topics – from the 2022 Annual Report and the 2024 budget to strengthening activities related to nuclear science, technology, and applications, as well as the IAEA’s nuclear safety and security activities and strengthening the effectiveness and improving the efficiency of agency safeguards.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United States of America, the Russian Federation, China, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Spain (on behalf of the European Union), Austria, Japan, France, and Hungary are the speakers in the general debate on the opening day. »
