« Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki criticised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s for his words during joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau when Zelensky suggested that ‘weakening assistance to Ukraine, will strengthen Russia’. Morawiecki spoke at a meeting with residents amid campaign for the parliamentary elections in the town of Krasnik, on Monday.
« The words I am directing to President Zelensky, who has recently made quite unnecessary gestures and completely inappropriate words have come from his mouth. Mr. President, do not dare to insult the Poles. Poles are a proud nation, they know when to help their neighbours, and we are helping our neighbours against this bestial Russian onslaught. But we will always defend our interest and our good name », Morawiecki declared.
Earlier President Zelensky answered a question about dispute with Warsaw after PM Morawiecki announced Poland ‘no longer transferring any weapons to Ukraine because it is now arming itself with the most modern weapons’.
« You help either Ukraine or Russia. There will be no mediators in this war. By weakening assistance to Ukraine, you will strengthen Russia. And a powerful Russia and what to expect from it. I think history in books and witnesses has long since answered this question, » Zelensky stressed. »
