Emergency response units seen in Washington as US Department of State holds full-scale active shooter drill

« The US Department of State held a full-scale active shooter training exercise in Washington, DC on Thursday.
Footage shows first responders from several local and federal agencies, including police officers, armed response units and paramedics responding to a simulated active shooter emergency outside the Harry S. Truman Building, which houses the Department of State’s office in the city centre.
According to a press release, the drill was held between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm local time and included the participation of the ‘Department of Homeland Security the District of Columbia’s Metropolitan Police Department, the Fire and Emergency Services Department’ and other emergency response units
The exercise was organised to allow first responders to train emergency response procedures and establish a ‘stronger operational relationship among federal and local partners.' »
