« Under the slogan “Decarbonising, faster, together”, the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2023 were launched on Monday in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of leaders of energy companies, policymakers and innovators from around the world, in order to enhance current efforts to reduce emissions.
The event includes a program covering the latest technological innovations, partnerships and digital transformation efforts related to energy, and is expected to attract more than 160,000 visitors from 164 countries.
This event takes place just seven weeks before the UAE hosts the COP28 conference, which aims to find solutions to reduce carbon emissions while ensuring high rates of growth and progress.
Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of UAE, said during the conference, « I am very pleased to say that over 20 oil and gas companies both IOCs and NOCs representing all continents have positively answered the call, but you all know that this took time a lot of effort and many months of hard work and I mean hard work negotiation and collaboration and I urge everyone to make this commitment at cop18 in Dubai this year cop 28 is a cop where I am calling on everyone to set the highest ambitions and follow through with practical actions to deliver real and tangible result ».
ADIPEC 2023 events will continue at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center until next Thursday. »
