« An oil field located in the border between Syria and Turkey was destroyed by flames after a reported Turkish drone strike targeted different Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Syria on Thursday.
Footage shows a huge fire at an oil field near Qamishli, as well as firefighters working to fight the blaze, and collapsed fire stations.
According to local media reports, Turkish air strikes targeted at least 16 sites in different regions of northern Syria, focusing on military infrastructure. At least nine people were reportedly killed.
Turkey intensified its operations against Syrian-based Kurdish groups considered terrorist groups after the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) armed organisation claimed responsibility for a bomb attack near Turkey’s Interior Ministry headquarters in Ankara on Sunday. »
