« The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) convenes in New York City on Monday, October 9, for an open meeting on Ukraine and the ongoing armed conflict with Russia.
The UN Security Council members are set to discuss the ongoing hostilities in the eastern Donbas and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as attacks on the Crimean Peninsula.
They are also expected to follow up the joint declaration signed by the G20 Summit group in Bali last month. The document asserts that ‘all states must refrain from the threat or use of force to seek territorial acquisition against the territorial integrity and sovereignty or political independence of any state’. »
