‘We look very carefully that our funds arrive where they should’ – Germany halts aid to Palestine

« German federal government spokesperson Steffen Hebestreit commented on the escalation between Israel and Hamas and announced that ‘Germany is standing by Israeli’s side and the government is assessing how it can support’, during a press conference in Berlin on Monday.
« There are close contacts with Israel and I think his [Scholz] important statement was also made clear, that we are standing by Israel’s side in this difficult hour,” said Hebestreit.
He added that the Federal Government is also taking appropriate action, and it must continually evaluate this challenging situation ‘to determine where and how we can provide support’.
