Guangzhou residents underwent COVID-19 tests as a part of the lockdown to tackle a severe outbreak in the city, as footage filmed on Sunday shows. After the new outbreak of cases, which practically doubled from Saturday to Sunday, the movement in the streets and the commerce of Guangzhou, the capital of the Guangdong province was reduced to a minimum. Dozens of residents were seen queuing at the COVID testing station while medical staff applied the tests The province’s lockdown has been tightened, since the number of infected reached 1,582 on Sunday, requiring daily testing and compulsory electronic registration for access to stores that still remain open. From November 5th to 7th, Haizhu District Administration announced that the whole district entered a lockdown, with residents obligated to go through tests every day to enter and exit the community.
