Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu was received by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro at the Government Palace in Caracas on Friday after finishing a tour of Latin American countries in Venezuela. After a private meeting, Maduro and Cavusoglu led an act of signing agreements between Venezuela and Turkey. According to the Vice President of Economy of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, Turkey signed and agreement on eight strategic areas. « This series of meetings, this visit, will also have concrete results. Let’s do it together, collaborating. We will follow up on the decisions we have made, » Cavusoglu said. President Maduro also delivered a speech during the closing session of the meeting and hailed the Turkish-Venezuelan cooperation. « (President Erdogan) is a great friend of our country. A great friend of ours. That together with the people of Turkey has supported Venezuela in all the situations that we have had to live in. Here we receive it too. Here we were next to him.
